Quotes from the Captains:
"Playing in free spirits was a great learning platform to take our game to.next level. Improving on handling skills, defending etc. Captaining the team SD was an amazing experience from recruiting newbies in the initial weeks to right upto the Finals. To bring the whole team together, plan and execute new strategies. To keep pushing all players and to keep the spirit of the team constantly high was all good and a different experience. Also to mention that last Free Spirits took a completely new dimension with All Matches finishing in Universal Point. This shows how hard the games were fought by the girls and how much we improved skill wise." - Sowmya Sridhar

"Yeah the number of girls that played Free Spirits in 2011 was almost double thr number that played the year before. And the fact that so many more women players have started handling, just shows the drastic improvement in skills. Free Spirits helped hone these skills and bring out latent talents. I feel that its a great tourney as the spirit and competitiveness was quite high. Hopefully this year we'll have more than two teams, and outstation players as well!" - Anjana Parandhaman
